Got my new mobile!
Even though my local Phone Dealer still tells me that he doesn't even know about this Phone. I got it in Karlsruhe, a City 60 kms south of where i live. And i thought Nokia is north of Germany....

New Gadget?

Since a few years i'm a fan of Nokia Communicators. I started with the 9210. When the 9500 arrived i got it in the first week. And now i'm waiting for the E90. And so does my wife. Since she will get the 9500.

I just hope Nokia will speed up a little bit with the release of the E90.

UPDATE: I went to my local Mobile Shop and asked for the release date of the E90. Answer was: A new communicator? I don't know about a new communicator. It's not in our list...

World of Warcraft

Some of you readers might know or even play it. (Let me know!) So do i and so does my wife and a good friend of mine who moved away but we still regularly meet ingame.

So, back to WOW. Over 8 Million People worldwide are paying to play this game. Why? Because it's fun, it's easy to learn, there's so much to do, to see, to collect. And every 2 month they are releasing some new stuff to keep their players happy.

Probably my guild, thanks to Sabine, is also a big reason for the fun. They are just a bunch of (mostly :) ) quite nice guys & girls without any pressure or demands. The biggest Thanks goes to Eis, however i think he won't read it.

Probably the best known polar bear in the World, i just found out that Knut even has it's own Blog. This will be the reason for my first visit to a zoo in Europe for ages.

Btw. talking about zoos, i have a new favorite tv series called Ruhrpottschnauzen, a documentory about the Duisburg Zoo running daily on the ZDF at 15:15.

As some of you might know, one of my hobbies is programming. Here i've found a great open source library/engine named Irrlicht. Great tools for game / graphics programming and all around it. The maintainer of the irrlicht project also has an interesting blog located here.

Been in the funniest movies I've seen for years.

Hoodwinked, in german: Die Rotkäppchen-Verschwörung. Sadly this movie is a total underdog in germany. It is running at absolutely stupid times in the cinema and it took 1 year to translate it from the US-Version to german. I've seen it in the plane on our wedding trip in april last year.

If you have the chance to see it go there and laugh and tell everybody else to go and see it as well.

Gadgets

My wife says i'm a gadget freak. I don't think so. However my latest addition is quite fun: a Camos CN-770 navigation system.

I was looking for a combined LCD-display / navigation solution and this thing was the only one i've found with an AV-in.

I have a Sony MEX-R1 DVD-MP3-Radio combination (Gadget as well???) and want to use the CN-770 as a display for the DVD and a navigation system.

Hollywood Stock Exchange

A few people have asked me about the link to the Hollywood Stock Exchange. It is a virtual Stock exchange where you buy stock on actors or movies. The price of the actors depend on their 'i-dont-really-know-what -and-always-lost-(virtual)-money-with-them' :)

The price of the movies depends on their estimated sucess.
For example, if a MovieStock is priced at H$80, it means that traders expect the film to make $80 million in its first four weeks of wide release.

You start with virtual 2.000.000 H$ and try to make most out of it. I started in 1999 (if i remember right) made quite a bit cash with the LOTR-movies and only recently sold all of my actor-stocks and concentrated on movies. Since then my account skyrockted. I'm at 5.700.000 right now.

WOW. The party is over. For 4 weeks Germany was Home of the Football! And what a great time we had. Nobody had expected that Germany would be such a great host, that it would be 4 weeks of nonstop party and that Germany would end with the third place. Congratulations to ~~our friends~~ the people from Italy. See you all again for Party 2010 in South Africa.

Wooooh! It was warmer, it was better and we even managed to bring the good weather back to germany. This morning i had 18° and real fun driving open to work.

I just love my car. One of the best things of my daily work is the trip there and back again. Sadly since i got it we've had the hardest winter in germany since decades. I'm waiting to open my convertible hardtop, but i fear i won't do it before my honeymoon trip (starting next monday)

Wow, 2.nd day and already a confession :)

I'm addicted. I hope it's not as bad as the real shit like drugs etc. (Don't do it, it's unhealthy and illegal(not that i would have any experience)) And i think i could stop whenever i want to, however my wife tells something else .

I'm addicted to a game called Oblivion. The graphics are so awesome i got in a serious discussion in the local
ice-cream parlor whether a real sunset is worth the trouble when you can have such a beautiful one in a PC-Game.

And the gameplay is so deep and fascinating, and the world is so large and you can collect all the flowers and plants along the way and make potions out of them. I have trouble with my inventory every now and then because i collect too much stuff.
